Squad 29

2010 2010 Braun Chief XL E450

The JFD recently took delivery of the NEW SQUAD 29. As past practice at the JFD, we have a "BIG BUS and a LIL BUS" in the fleet. Giving the EMS members to use either unit as they see fit.

Squad 29 is a fully equiped ALS unit, with a Phillips MRX heart monitor with the capability of transmitting a 12 lead to the ER and/or to the Medical Director for consultation. Squad 29 also has a Holmatro Combi-Tool for gaining access to patients quickly. JFD is also one of the ONLY departments in the County to have RSI (Rapid Sequence Intubation) capabilities. This procedure gives the Medics at the 29 the ability to gain an airway when its most needed.
